Best out there.
I’ve tried a few different apps and this one offers the most. The synchronization across apps is great, but the meal planning is the killer feature. If you’re trying to get better about cooking at home and not wasting food, this will do the trick.
Only limitation is the recipe import. It seems to work great if you use the internal browser on one of the listed sites, but if you are pulling recipes off of other sites, or Pinterest, the process is miserable. SousChef is a step above in this regard, since you can copy and paste a recipe with any formatting into the app and it will automatically detect the proper fields and you’re done within seconds. Paprika is a bit slower - you have to select each field yourself, then click the appropriate button (name, ingredients, directions, etc.) and the process is painful on the iPad companion because the text selection tool will go haywire. It’s more manageable on the Mac app, but still time consuming.
Better recipe import will boost this to 5 stars for me!
