Good easy-to-use recipe manager
Over all, this is is a good recipe manager. It is missing some features that are in some of the more elaborate recipe managers, but it has a clean, simple user interface and most of the features that home cooks need. Here is my assessment of the Pros and Cons.
Pros
Reasonably priced
Easy to navigate and use
Auto syncing with other iOS or OS X devices (developer’s cloud server, not iCloud, but it is free)
Can import data from most other recipe managers
iOS versions ($)
Can open recipes in separate windows for comparison
Automatically lists uncategorized recipes
Easy scaling
Nutritional info field
Can create custom categories (folders) and sub-categories
Auto web recipe import (very good) with links to many sites, plus manual web import from other sites
Grocery shopping lists, general and recipe-specific
Pantry stock list, categorized
Saved menus
Meal planning calendar
Cons
Only one font, 4 sizes
No bold, underline, italics
Can’t include images or links in directions or notes text
Fixed on-screen layout
Few print layouts
No custom “Smart” folders/categories
Pantry list limited to built-in pre-defined items
Limited search: Name, Ingredient or Source only
No import from text documents, scanned or pdf recipes
Limited support. Quote from their website- “Due to excessive abuse we no longer offer technical support.”
